The Match Review Panel charged Ziebell following a collision with Carlton's Aaron Joseph in the second quarter of last Friday night's game at Etihad Stadium.
Ziebell's decision to challenge the MRP's decision at the tribunal has cost him an extra week on the sidelines after he declined the MRP's offer of a three-match ban for an early guilty plea.

He will now miss North's upcoming games against Richmond (MCG), Melbourne (Etihad Stadium), Western Bulldogs (Etihad) and Essendon (Etihad).
Ziebell has now been suspended twice for bumps within the past year, having been banned for three games for making forceful front-on contact with St Kilda captain Nick Riewoldt in round 23 last season.
Earlier, Brisbane Lions vice-captain Daniel Merrett escaped with a reprimand for his hit on Riewoldt after successfully arguing his charge should be downgraded from reckless to negligent at the AFL Tribunal.
Merrett was cited by the Match Review Panel for charging the St Kilda captain during the first quarter at the Gabba last Saturday night.
Merrett could have accepted a one-match suspension if he entered an early plea to the MRP's charge but risked a two-match ban by challenging it at the tribunal.
However, despite being found guilty by the tribunal on Tuesday night, he is free to play against the Suns due to the downgrading of his charge.
The tribunal imposed a reprimand and a penalty of 93.75 points.
