Four weeks for Judd
CARLTON skipper Chris Judd has been suspended for four games by the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night for his bizarre 'chicken wing' tackle on North Melbourne's Lei
Judd was charged with misconduct by the Match Review Panel after being reported by umpire Mark Foster in the second quarter of last Friday night's game for wrenching Adams' arm back while the Kangaroos midfielder lay on the ground with Andrew Carrazzo on top of him.
The MRP referred Judd's case directly to a tribunal hearing, denying him the opportunity to enter an early guilty plea.
On Monday, North Melbourne football chief Donald McDonald had refused to comment on the injury Adams suffered in the incident with Judd.
However, AFL.com.au understood the medical report North was due to submit to the Tribunal revealed Adams' right shoulder was dislocated in the incident.
Judd's 'tackle' on Adams prompted an immediate angry response from nearly North Melbourne players Jamie Macmillan, Andrew Swallow and Robbie Tarrant.
It also followed Judd being previously charged with eye gouging in 2007 (cleared) and making unnecessary face contact in the 2009 finals series (suspended for three games).
In the latter case, Judd claimed he had accidentally made contact with then Brisbane Lion Michael Rischitelli's face as he tried to press on nearby pressure points.
