The North Melbourne match committee is set for a selection headache if forwards Robbie Tarrant and Lachlan Hansen pass one final test before Saturday’s match with the Bulldogs.

The duo got through the club’s main skills session on Wednesday with flying colours and then survived a thorough post-training fitness test conducted by director of medical services Steve Saunders.

Tarrant has been battling an ongoing lower leg issue while Hansen seems to have overcome a minor knee injury.

NMFC.com.au understands Thursday looms as D-Day, with both to be assessed and a final call to be made by the medical team on their availability.  Brad Scott and the selectors will settle on the final make-up of the team after it’s been determined just how well the players have recovered.

Tarrant has been ruled on two occasions so far this season after playing the first three matches, while Hansen played the first four and missed games against Hawthorn and Port Adelaide.  Their omissions paved the way for youngsters Majak Daw and Aaron Black to saddle up alongside veteran Drew Petrie in the Roos’ forward line.
