There is an outside chance of seeing four milestones in one North Melbourne game during the 2015 season.
With Brent Harvey scheduled to hit the magical 400-game mark in Round 17 against Brisbane, it’s in close proximity to several other players and their respective milestones.
Nick Dal Santo’s 300th game could come in Round 16 against Essendon. It wouldn’t be beyond the realms of possibility to imagine one missed game somewhere along the way, even allowing for the midfielder’s streak of 102 consecutive matches.
Another recent addition to Arden Street, Jarrad Waite, could hit 200 career appearances in Round 17 at the GABBA against the Lions. Although, the following week back home for the milestone may be more appealing – against no less than Carlton, his former side.
Shaun Atley and Sam Wright are separated by only two games in their race to 100. If the latter plays every match in 2015 he’ll reach it in – you guessed it, Round 17.
Meanwhile, Drew Petrie could move to as high as equal-fifth on the club’s all-time games leaderboard – if he makes 25 appearances in 2015 he’ll join Keith Greig on 294 matches. He also only needs 41 goals to reach 400, a mark he has passed in each of the last four seasons.
Elsewhere, Luke McDonald will continue his search for his first career goal. He had 23 fruitless games in 2014; not quite enough to make Nathan Grima take serious notice, but potentially enough to keep one eye out for the streak.
