ET: Long-term injury for Brandon Matera
Brandon Matera faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering an ankle injury against Geelong.
Matera injured his left ankle in Saturday night's loss against Geelong when Cat James Kelly fell across his lower leg, and will need a screw inserted into his ankle to repair the damage.
Matera averaged 18.5 possessions and 5 inside 50’s in his two matches against North in 2012, meaning he'll be sorely missed.
Campbell Brown, Joel Wilkinson and Danny Stanley were also injured against the Cats but have pulled up well and will likely take their spots in the Suns’ team.
Charlie Dixon and Karmichael Hunt are ready to return from injury, but are more likely to resume in the reserves.
