New recruits Aaron Hall and Jasper Pittard have made an impressive start to their time at North Melbourne, kick starting their preseason campaigns earlier than expected.
The pair arrived at Arden Street on Wednesday, taking part in the main training session with North’s first-to-four-year players.
“It was great to have both Aaron Hall and Jasper Pittard returning to training today,” North director of coaching Darren Crocker told North Media.
“It’s a real credit to the two of them, who have returned earlier than expected.”
The duo took little time getting into the swing of things, participating in a range of skill-based drills with their new teammates, their experience on show with their run and impressive ball use.
Former Sun Hall also provided leadership for his younger teammates, by being a loud presence throughout the session.
“From what we’ve seen already today, you can really see the class of both men not just as players, but as people,” Crocker said.
“I was never in that position as a player, but I can imagine it would be a little bit daunting coming into a new environment, not knowing what to expect and how vocal you should be.
“Both guys fitted in extremely well and even provided some instruction, which was good to see.”
With the first session now done and dusted, the pair will undoubtedly be put through their paces this summer and be eager to impress heading into the new year.
“They’re both really talented players, so we’re really excited to see them get through the pre-season and see how they can help us next season,” Crocker added.
The remainder of the playing group will report for duty at Arden Street next Monday.
