North Melbourne's strong form continued on Sunday after cruising past St Kilda by 39 points.
After belting Collingwood last week, the Roos made a blistering start to the game at Blundstone Arena before keeping the Saints at bay to win 17.10 (112) to 11.7 (73).
Rising Star nominees Cam Zurhaar and Nick Larkey starred with five goals for the Roos, who now sit just a game outside the top eight.
North burst out of the blocks, piling on seven goals – three of those to Zurhaar - in the first term to open up a 40-point lead at quarter-time.
But just as it looked like the home side would run away with the game, the Saints came storming back – five goals in the second term closing the gap to 27 at half-time.
Josh Bruce booted four of the Saints' six goals in the first half to single-handedly keep his team in the contest.
He finished with six for the day.
The Roos put the game to bed in the third quarter to lead by 32 at the last change, before cruising to a comfortable victory.
