Black kicked a career-high five goals, four in the first quarter, and ended with 17 disposals, 7 marks and 4 tackles. The number 35 is the sixth most popular Roo in Dream Team. With a breakeven now well below his weekly average of almost 80, Black should continue to make money for at least another week before North’s bye.
Drew Petrie turned in a season-high 136 points, enjoying his height advantage over all of the St Kilda defenders to kick 4.4 from 22 disposals and 9 marks.
It was Petrie’s second century of the season following his 110 against the Western Bulldogs in Round 7. In fact, the key forward’s three highest scores of the year have come in North’s wins at Etihad Stadium.
This Saturday will be the fourth time Petrie has faced Gold Coast. In his previous three matches against the Suns he has notched scores of 100, 110 and 126 for an average of 112, his highest against any club.
The 350-gamer Brent Harvey turned in a performance befitting of the occasion, kicking four goals and collecting 23 disposals. If it wasn’t for his inaccuracy (4.4) the former captain could have had a career-high goal tally.
Lachlan Hansen is developing into a high marking defender, perfect for fantasy points. In his four games in the back half this year he has averaged 10.5 marks per outing. His most recent effort – 12 against the Saints, was a big part in his score of 109. It was just five points short of his career-high (Round 4, 2009 v Essendon).
Will Sierakowski had his first price rise of his career in his third match. His 24 points and average of just more than 40 led to an increase of $23,100.
