Contrary to media reports, North Melbourne has not offered Luke Delaney and pick 26 for St Kilda midfielder Nick Dal Santo, says CEO Carl Dilena.

β€œI saw that (the offer) in the paper this morning and thought where did that come from?” Dilena told SEN’s Morning Glory.

β€œIt’s just total misinformation. Obviously there’s a lot of discussions going on in the background but that’s not the deal structure.”

Speaking on AFL’s Trade Radio earlier, Dilena indicated North’s second round pick was not on the table in any way.

β€œIf he’s (Dal Santo) a free agent, they’ll get compensation through the draft but we weren’t looking to give up other draft picks.”

The onus is now on St Kilda according to Dilena.

β€œIt’s a little bit of a stalemate at the moment. St Kilda’s thinking about it (North’s offer) and we’ll know in due course.

β€œNext couple of weeks, it could drag out a bit. Hopefully they (St Kilda) can make up their mind on what they want to do and we’ll move forward.”
