The Kangaroos return to Marvel Stadium on Saturday night for a date with Sydney, looking to even up their win-loss ledger.

After 14 seasons as a Swan, Luke Parker is expected to clash with his former club, along with teammate Jacob Konstanty, who joined North Melbourne alongside Parker in the 2024 off-season.

The opposition

The 1-2 Swans enter Marvel Stadium refreshed after a bye and will be eager to collect a second straight win.

They were on the right side of the result last time out, as they snatched victory away from the Dockers, winning by three points at Optus Stadium in Round 2.

Star midfielder Chad Warner led the charge, tallying 26 touches, 727 metres gained and a goal to help his side avoid an 0-3 start to life under new coach Dean Cox.

In-form Roo

Jy Simpkin

The skipper was prominent in the hard-fought defeat against the Crows, racking up 31 touches, a goal and game-highs for metres gained (680) and clearances (9).

He picked up four coaches' votes, the most for any Roo in Round 3, and looks to have rediscovered the form he was in when he claimed back-to-back Syd Barker medals across 2021 and 2022.

What the coach has said

North Melbourne senior coach Alastair Clarkson on Thursday: "Our goal has always been to be in the contest at three-quarter time. First game of the year we were seven points down against the Dogs and it didn't work out for us, then next week we were a couple of goals up against Melbourne and then it materialised into a big victory. It's why we were disappointed (against Adelaide), we weren't quite there."
