North Melbourne continues its season in Tasmania this weekend and will be hoping to put the demons of last week's Good Friday SuperClash behind it.

Geelong will offer a different type of challenge than the Kangaroos have faced this season. It will be a battle between one of the youngest teams in the competition in North and one of the most experienced in the Cats.

Here are four of the most pressing questions ahead of North Melbourne's Round 5 clash with Geelong.

How does the forward line shape up?

If there's one line where the Kangaroos have exciting, youthful depth to call upon, it's the forward line.

The firing Nick Larkey could be joined by any combination of players this week, and the pressure being placed on the selected Kangaroos is sure to excite any North fan.

The most eye-catching potential availability this week is Cam Zurhaar. After missing last week's SuperClash due to concussion, he looks set to return to the side should he continue to tick off the AFL's concussion protocols.

Eddie Ford earned his chance at senior level this season through strong VFL form, and Paul Curtis and Charlie Comben are looking to follow in his footsteps after their respective four-goal hauls in the VFL win over Footscray.

If you add in the ability of the likes of Callum Coleman-Jones and Charlie Lazzaro to run through the forward line, David Noble suddenly has a very welcome selection headache.

Can the Tassie form continue?

There would be, arguably, no better time to register a much-needed victory than this week seeing as for the first time this season North Melbourne's AFL program travels to its home away from home.

The Kangaroos have a historically good club record in Tasmania. The AFLW side has never lost there, while the AFL side has won 17 of 27 games it's contested there.

Hopefully the team selected for Sunday's game can extend that strong record.

Can the Roos bounce back again?

This weekend North Melbourne will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat to the Western Bulldogs by 68 points.

A poor first-quarter showing set the Kangaroos up for the rest of the game, losing the opening term 51-6. While the rest of the game was competitive there was little chance of emerging victorious after struggling so early.

The Kangaroos have proved they can bounce back after tough defeats having put in a strong display against the Swans in Round 4 after being on the wrong end of a Brisbane thumping in Round 3.

David Noble won't be pleased his side has to bounce back and prove themselves once again, but it wouldn't be the first time they've done it during his tenure.

Geelong's fourth-quarter fade

If there's a team who will come out with a chip on its shoulder and a point to prove in the AFL this weekend, it's Geelong.

The Cats were cruising and in control against Hawthorn last week, but a lacklustre final term in which they conceded 28 points to four saw them finish the clash on the wrong side of a 12-point margin.

For an ageing Geelong side who still expect to be competing strongly come the business end of the season, fade-outs like that are absolutely unacceptable.

They'll have spent the last week licking their wounds. It's up to the Kangaroos to double-down on the damage.
