A boyhood North Melbourne fan, Bergman's father Shannon was selected with the 66th pick in 1989, and while Bergman snr didn’t play a game for the club, it was the start of a lifelong association with Arden Street for Miller.

2024: A fractured jaw suffered in the VFL season opener against the Northern Bullants sidelined Bergman for a handful of weeks, but strong form on his return saw the defender elevated into the senior side for Round 10.
He was struck down by a hamstring injury, but worked his way back into the team for two matches before he suffered a concussion against the Bulldogs in Round 23 which put an end to his campaign.
