North Melbourne GM – Club Strategy, Laura Kane, will join the AFL Competition Committee ahead of season 2022.
The aim of the committee is to bring diverse views together to result in decision-making for the AFL Commission and AFL Executive on key aspects of the future of the game.
The committee encompasses a range of players, coaches, club administrators and game officials.
North CEO, Ben Amarfio, said it was a wonderful appointment.
“We congratulate Laura on her appointment to the committee,” Amarfio said.
“She brings a wealth of knowledge across the mens’ and womens’ competitions and know she will be a great asset to the team.
“As a club we are very pleased to be represented on this critical committee and are very proud of Laura. It is a wonderful acknowledgement of not only how highly she is regarded by us, but within our whole industry.”
The committee will meet for the first time on Wednesday, August 25.
