North Melbourne’s playing list is fit and firing heading into the final part of the season, with Friday’s training session at Yeronga in Brisbane a great sign of things to come.
With the entire travelling party training together, it was Charlie Comben that provided the most welcome sight, as he prepares for his first game in close to 17 months.
Comben will line up in a multi-club scratch match on Saturday, with and against other players located in Queensland.
Also on the track were other Roos on the comeback trail from injury, including Dom Tyson and Aiden Bonar.
The Brisbane heat provided a stark contrast to the training conditions earlier in the week, with the players looking sharp across a two-hour session before some unexpected rain set in.
The North squad will have a Captain’s Run on Saturday morning, before taking on Essendon at Metricon Stadium on Sunday.
In at the club at 8am, a last-minute flight and a training session under lights.
