There was no easing back in to match practice for Robbie Tarrant and Ben Speight after they were involved in separate heavy collisions at Aegis Park on Monday.
Tarrant’s came during the first sequence of play in the full ground session when he was running back with the flight of the ball.
The key position player attempted to mark the footy of the boot of Sam Gibson, but instead crashed into defender Lachlan Hansen and was left clutching his face as a result. North medical staff were quickly on the scene with a suspected broken nose cause for concern.

Hansen escaped without injury as Tarrant was taken inside for a precautionary check with the club doctor. However he received positive news and he was able to resume training. Matched up on Nathan Grima, he was able to have an impact for the red team snapping a handy goal.
Speight received a cut above the eye after clashing heads with Ben Mabon in the middle of the ground. He required a few stitches and some heavy bandaging before being given the green light to return to the field.
