With North Melbourne coming off a disappointing loss to Sydney, changes might be in store ahead of Saturday’s clash with the Bulldogs.

North’s VFL side had a bye on the weekend, allowing the potential inclusions a chance to freshen up and prepare for the upcoming month of football before the bye.

Defenders

Having served his one-match ban for that head clash which left Cat Gary Rohan concussed, Sam Durdin is a chance to return to the senior team and add to his AFL games tally.

Ben McKay has seemingly overcome a bad run which included an ankle injury, pneumonia and a quad injury, however, the 21-year-old may need to find his feet in the VFL.

Veteran Sam Wright could return after missing last week with an ankle injury.

Midfielders

A travelling emergency to Tasmania last week, Aaron Hall is on the verge of an AFL return, impressing in his last VFL outing with 33 disposals, 8 tackles and 2 goals.

Ruckman Tom Campbell is also closing in on a return having strung a series of strong VFL performances together.

Young midfielders Paul Ahern and Luke Davies-Uniacke continue to put their hands up while elite runner Bailey Scott has overcome aconcussion and is back in full training.

Second-year players Kyron Hayden and Tristan Xerri continue to develop strongly, and edge closer to their debuts.

Forwards

Nathan Hrovat is coming off a six-goal outing in the VFL, and continues to push his case and first-year player Curtis Taylor could find his way back in sooner rather than later.
