EXCLUSIVE: Delaney's debut
Cameron Delaney will become the 970th Shinboner on Sunday against the Giants after confirmation of his selection in the Kangaroos’ 22.
While Robbie Tarrant trained strongly, North wasn’t prepared to take the risk and his omission has paved the way for Delaney’s debut. The 19-year old was told of the news by coach Brad Scott at training on Good Friday.
Delaney spent the best part of the 2011 season earning his apprenticeship at North Ballarat, and has had a taste of senior football already this year during the club’s NAB Cup campaign.
The younger brother of Luke, Delaney had 14 touches, took seven marks and registered six spoils for the Roosters in the VFL last Sunday.
