Adelaide midfielder Rory Sloane has been ruled out of his side’s clash with North Melbourne on Sunday, due to an eye issue.
Sloane has averaged 25 disposals and 8 clearances per game across the first three games of the season, as he once again establishes himself as one of the competition’s premier midfielders.
He reported blurred vision during training on Thursday and has been diagnosed with a retinal detachment, with surgery required to fix the issue.
He will miss 2-4 weeks as he recovers from the procedure.
