With the Roos set to step out onto Eureka Stadium in Ballarat for their intraclub match on Tuesday evening, NMFC.com.au can reveal some of the battles which will take place.
In the middle, club captain Andrew Swallow is expected to line up on up-and-coming midfielder Ryan Bastinac while two of North’s best runners in Sam Gibson and Kieran Harper will go toe-to-toe.
New Roo Ben Jacobs will be up against Sam Wright on a wing with young defender Cam Delaney set one of the biggest challenges of the match with the job of playing on Drew Petrie.
Meanwhile the much hyped Majak Daw will be tested, playing against unrelenting defender Nathan Grima.
Darren Crocker, Josh Drummond and John Lamont will be coaching the side wearing North’s reverse strip, while Shane Watson, Brett Allison and Jarred Moore will be in charge of the red team. The game will be played under NAB Cup rules with 23-minutes quarters.
The first bounce will go down at around 5pm and volunteers will be taking gold coin donations to assist with bushfire recovery efforts in the region.
