It only took Drew Petrie three quarters to earn a perfect 10 votes from the coaches on Friday night against Carlton.

Seven goals straight took Petrie's season tally to 36 and also earned him a spot in the AFL team of the week as full forward. It's the third game the key forward has polled in this season.

Daniel Wells continued his blistering run of form by notching up another five votes to once again overtake Andrew Swallow, despite the captain registering three votes of his own.

Wells led all North Melbourne players with 26 disposals with 15 of those contested. Swallow's stat line was remarkably similar with 22 disposals (15 contested), illustrating why the duo received votes.

Todd Goldstein was the other North player to poll. Coming up against Matthew Kreuzer, who was best on ground the week before against Collingwood, Goldstein minimised his influence while also collecting 38 hitouts of his own.

In a sight not seen too often, Goldstein spent the entire match on the ground. With a potential match up against Tiger Ivan Maric crucial, the number 22 will most likely be required to do similar on Sunday at the MCG.
