Ed Vickers-Willis has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal, keeping the emerging Roo at Arden St until at least 2018.
The 20-year-old defender has impressed in recent months at VFL level, continuing to press his case for senior selection.
“I was always looking to re-sign with the club, but it’s great to know that they want me here as a player and know that I can contribute to the football club in the future, so I’m really excited to sign on for another two years with North Melbourne,” Vickers-Willis told NMFC.com.au.
The number 33 had a frustrating start to life as an AFL footballer, with several injuries keeping him sidelined throughout 2015.
But after recovering from a pre-season shoulder injury, Vickers-Willis has put in solid performances for the club’s VFL affiliate Werribee.
“It’s just been great to play footy this year. It’s been a tough first two years at the club. Starting to learn that continuity is key when you are trying to improve and develop as a player and push for senior selection.
“I’ve been really enjoying playing at Werribee, but in the last few weeks I’ve been looking to push through to the seniors and contribute in the finals.”
