Daniel Currie and Mason Wood have been named to play, while Taylor Hine will need to prove his fitness after missing the Elimination Final against North Ballarat.
The Tigers will also be sweating on fitness of Kieran Harper, who sat out the latter part of last week’s game with an ankle injury. It’s been an interrupted season for the dynamic forward, but the big stage may be the tonic to turn in a quality performance.
Scott McMahon will again Werribee in defence, and after two close to best-on-ground performances in successive weeks will put his hand up for a recall should North progress.
McMahon and Hine will have to be on song down back against a Williamstown lineup that managed 29 scoring shots when the teams last met.
On that afternoon, Tim McGenniss and Currie were named in the bests and more of the same will be needed again from the duo.
On the hard centre of North Port Oval, winning first use from stoppages will be vital. Enter Currie; before his North Melbourne call-up, the ruckman had 105 hit-outs in his last two VFL games.
Rounding out the Kangaroos in action on Sunday is Mason Wood. Fresh off a three-goal haul in his AFL debut, the left-footer will provide a different challenge for Williamstown.
Unable to play the last time the sides met, Wood is a welcome inclusion for a Tigers’ outfit which lacked avenues to goal last week.
The game will be televised live on ABC TV for viewers in Victoria.
