North has booked Jarrad Waite in for a minor hip procedure in an effort to have him fit and firing for finals.

The forward has been hampered by the injury since Round 11 and North Director of Football Geoff Walsh said the club elected to explore the issue further with a specialist.

“Jarrad will be heading in for a very minor hip arthroscope this week so we can see exactly what’s going on,” he told NMFC.com.au.

“We’ve tried a non-invasive approach with his treatment but following on from the issues he had on Saturday night, we’ve decided this is the best course of action in order to have him ready for the pointy end of the season.”

The 33-year-old has booted 29 goals in 2016, but has played just two games since Round 12.
