This Sunday, two teams will fight for pride, honor and respect when North Melbourne takes on Richmond at the MCG in the 3rd annual Eureka game.

Proudly presented by the City of Ballarat, the Eureka game is a Tribute to the Eureka spirit of courage, teamwork and mateship.

These ideals were made famous by the Eureka Rebellion of 1854 and its anniversary commemorates those who fought to defend their rights and liberties at the Eureka Stockade on the 3rd of December. More than 30 men lost their lives at what is Australia's only armed civil insurrection.

Each year the City of Ballarat holds a series of events and activities that create greater awareness of Eureka across the country and in partnership with the North Melbourne and Richmond Football Clubs, the Eureka game is set to become the cornerstone event.

On Sunday players from both sides will be outside gate 3 to meet loyal fans as well as a free sausage sizzle while inside the ground spectators will witness a sky dive and the sovereign hill red coats will fire their famous muskets.
