Sharing is caring and that’s exactly what Nathan Grima and Hamish McIntosh were aiming to do when they recently donated two 3-game memberships to North’s Community Ambassador program.

Designed to introduce diverse, recent migrant communities to AFL, the Community Ambassador program has been a great success since its creation last year.

“This initiative enables people to share football and give someone the chance to attend a match who may not have otherwise had the chance,” Grima told kangaroos.com.au.

“Those supporters who can’t get to any games can still support the club and give someone else an experience they’ll never forget.”

An adult 3-game membership costs as little as $80 or there’s also the option to make a straight $50 donation to the program.

“We are part of a very family-orientated club and North Melbourne is great at bringing people into the fold and welcoming them with open arms…that’s what this is all about,” McIntosh said.

The Kangaroos still have five home games left in 2011 with teams such as St Kilda, the Bulldogs, Brisbane, Fremantle and Carlton in the mix so there’s still plenty of time to join up.

Majak Daw’s parents are two of several official Community Ambassadors who are presented with family memberships for use within their community in order to actively promote the club and encourage participation and involvement in The Huddle’s programs.
