There, Kangaroos’ CEO Eugene Arocca unveiled special details about a new Eureka membership for supporters in Ballarat and the surrounding region.
Starting from as low as $25, the unique membership gives locals a chance to get behind North Melbourne as it increases its presence in the area as the push for AFL games continues.
Arocca presented Ballarat mayor Mark Harris and CEO Anthony Schinck with the first printed Eureka Gold membership cards as a token of the club’s good will and commitment.
“This special membership category is further proof of our ongoing desire to maintain a permanent presence in this community and keep the proposal for a new stadium on the agenda,” Arocca stated.
After the formalities concluded, the players visited schools in and around the Ballarat area and conducted football clinics for hundreds of excited kids.
Ruckman Hamish McIntosh was glowing in his thoughts of the regional city.
"It's a great relationship we've got with Ballarat now, it shows how committed we are at getting a facility built here. Four years straight we’ve been here, it's great for the club. I really enjoy coming here, it's a great town and a great bunch of people. The reception was first class again and I'm looking forward to the time here."
