Leigh Adams is no stranger to a copping a heavy knock having been on the receiving end of many in his short career. Friday night was no exception after he went down behind the play during the first match against Richmond.

Adams was seen lying motionless after a collision with Tiger Reece Conca and it has sparked much debate with respect to an expected Match Review Panel finding.

“I don’t really know what happened, but I’m okay now and that’s the main thing,” Adams told kangaroos.com.au.

The 23-year old was back at Aegis Park on Monday training in the gym before main skills in the afternoon.

“I reckon I was right to play in the second game against the Hawks that night but the medical staff didn’t want to take any risks which I understand. They were in a much better position to make that call than I was clearly.

“I felt okay, but a few people have said that I didn’t look right.”

Adams was able to walk from the field with assistance and the stretcher was not used.

Showing no side-effects now, the courageous midfielder was into his normal training routine at the club and laughing as always with teammates.

“Obviously your family and friends worry a bit when stuff like that happens, but I was back on my feet pretty quickly after being assessed by the doctor in the rooms and was able to watch most of the game against Hawthorn from the side-lines.”
