Cameron Delaney and Aaron Black could be given their first chance to shine in 2012 after being named in Saturday night’s 27-man squad to take on the Swans.

The pair was overlooked despite warming up with the team in round one of the NAB Cup, but with a reduced squad and coach Brad Scott keen to promote growth, the duo may be in line for a call-up.

Black was particularly impressive during a VFL practice match last week when he booted six goals including several on the run to show off his ability both in the air and on the ground.

Ironically, it may be left to Delaney to fill the shoes of his brother Luke in defence after the older sibling was ruled out with an ankle injury.

North will boast a line-up featuring most of its stars at an unfamiliar ground; Bruce Purser Reserve in Kellyville, New South Wales.

Sam Gibson gets another chance to impress after a solid first-up performance, while the midfield brigade will be led by twin towers Hamish McIntosh and Todd Goldstein, captain Andrew Swallow and his deputy Jack Ziebell.

The Swans will be without their biggest threat Adam Goodes due to suspension, as well as Ryan O'Keefe who suffered a knee injury at training on Tuesday.
