North continues to Inspire
North's network of professional women is providing an opportunity for two young women to receive a helping hand toward realising their dreams.
Inspire will present both students with a $2,000 scholarship for their educational costs for 2013.
Peita Elkhorne, President of Inspire, has been amazed by the The Huddle's programs and initiatives and was motivated to also help make a difference.
"The Huddle does incredible work developing and nurturing young students, especially women, and Inspire wants to be a part of that," Elkhorne told kangaroos.com.au.
"We are delighted to support The Huddle in whatever way we can and by contributing to the education of these young girls, we feel it will make a difference not only in their lives but also in their local community."
The inaugural Inspire scholarship will support young women who currently attend programs at The Huddle, are aged between 15 and 25, speak a language other than English at home or have difficulty paying for their education.
GM of The Huddle Dr Sonja Hood has been overwhelmed by Inspire's support.
"These scholarships will certainly have a huge impact in the lives of two young students who otherwise might struggle to reach their goals due to financial disadvantages," Dr Hood said.
"We are very grateful to Inspire and the incredible partnership they have built with The Huddle and the North Melbourne Football Club."
