North Melbourne has recalled two of its most important players for the clash against Sydney.

After missing last week’s loss to Hawthorn, Ben Brown and Scott Thompson are back in the Roos’ 22 for Saturday’s match at Blundstone Arena.

Brown (knee) and Thompson (adductor) have been passed fit for their returns, with the pair vital to North’s chances of securing a spot in the top eight.

Sam Gibson has also been named, despite suffering a broken nose in a gym accident earlier in the week.

Robin Nahas and Ryan Clarke have been omitted from the side, and named as emergencies alongside key-defender Joel Tippett.
