North Melbourne’s membership numbers continue to grow with the club enjoying another promising pre-season under senior coach Brad Scott.

The official tally ticked past 20,000 on Monday; a record for the Roos for the month of January.

“This puts us more than 4,000 ahead of the same time last year which is an encouraging result,” General Manager of Consumer Business Dino Imbriano told kangaroos.com.au.

“The positivity surrounding the club and what it might be able to achieve this year is creating a great vibe among our supporters. We have noticed a large volume of calls coming through which is extremely satisfying, but not unexpected.”

Imbriano says the club has also managed to surpass 10,000 Troo Roo for Life members meaning it will start any given year in a strong position.

“The fact these loyal supporters automatically roll-over their membership year-to-year is an incredible gesture and saves a lot of heavy lifting at our end. It’s the most cost-efficient, positive and effective way to be a member these days and we encourage others to follow suit if they’re in a position to do so.”

Tasmania is proving to be a future stronghold with more than 2,000 supporters already enlisting despite the club not yet having played a single game at Blundstone Arena in Hobart.

“There is still a huge amount of work to be done but a big thank you must go out to all those supporters who managed to sign up nice and early. It gives the club a great boost but most importantly, it provides Brad and the players some real confidence to go out and win knowing so many fans are right behind them.”

Imbriano was also quick to mention the member’s only merchandise including unique polo, scarf and polar fleece blanket which are currently available at the membership counter at Aegis Park.

“These items have been very popular so far and we urge all supporters to make sure they purchase and show their true colours on game-day.”
