The AFLPA MVP Awards, which are to be held on Monday night in Melbourne, are fast becoming one of the most respected and prestigious awards in football.
Firrito has been nominated by his fellow Kangaroos players on the back of a stellar season playing all 22 matches, while Harvey’s nomination is just reward for a season that saw him collect more than 20 touches on 18 occasions.
Firrito was also nominated as the club’s most courageous player, while youngster Ryan Bastinac was nominated for the best first-year player award.
The AFLPA MVP Awards are the only awards determined by players themselves.
The winner will be announced on Monday 6 September at Melbourne’s Crown Palladium and will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1 from 9.30pm.
