Daw was dropped after North's shattering round nine loss to Adelaide, having played two quiet games since his breakthrough six-goal match against the Western Bulldogs in round seven.
Coupled with Robbie Tarrant's absence through injury and Lachlan Hansen's recent move to defence, it meant North took just two tall forwards, Drew Petrie and Aaron Black, into a game for the first time in a year against St Kilda last Sunday.
Scott said on Thursday Daw could be recalled after just one game back in the VFL, having starred for Werribee last Sunday with 21 possessions.
"We'll certainly be looking to get Majak back in our side as soon as possible," Scott said.
"He responded really well to going back (to the VFL) and looked like an AFL player playing at VFL level.
"We think that while Gold Coast are a very, very talented side a lot of their key defenders are quite young.
"So the opportunity to potentially stretch some of their key defenders is certainly enticing for us.
"We really wanted Majak to play well so we could consider him strongly and we'll certainly do that."
Scott praised young Suns key defenders Rory Thompson, Sam Day and Steven May, but suggested the Roos could trouble them by playing three talls in attack.
"We've got to try to play to our strengths," Scott said.
"Certainly Black and Petrie were good last weekend and we'd like to give them some additional support.
"Now it's a matter of working out the balance of our side and seeing if we can get an advantage there and, if we think we can, we'll play [Daw]."
Scott said Tarrant would not resume from the nerve-related leg injury that has sidelined him since round three until after North's round 12 bye.
