How McKenzie finished the season

Given a substantial taste of AFL football in the second half of the year McKenzie was substitute six times in his 10 appearances.

His kicking was a feature and North had a big focus on getting the ball into his hands whenever possible on the outside.

More than three quarters of McKenzie's 116 season disposals were uncontested.  Arguably his best outing was against Essendon in Round 21 when he collected 18 disposals and delivered possibly the pass of the season to Robbie Tarrant.
