Werribee rages on
Six Kangaroos will be playing this September as Werribee prepares to take on Casey.
Daniel Currie will be looking to back up another impressive performance after he was a stand out in last Sunday's win over Essendon. The ruckman has shown good form throughout the season despite suffering a variety of minor injuries including a broken thumb, bruised heel and broken nose.
Rookie Tim McGenniss has made incredible progress in his first year, becoming a dependable part of the Tigers' line-up. The 19-year-old will aim to impress as the North coaches and fellow teammates watch on. McGenniss and Jordan Gysberts will have plenty of responsibility through the midfield in the absence of Taylor Hine.
Will Sierakowski and Ayden Kennedy will be vital in the back half against the Scorpions, particularly with experienced defender Scott McMahon missing because he's ineligible to play VFL finals.
With Melbourne's season also over, its VFL affiliate could be bolstered by the inclusion of several Demons with Neville Jetta, James Sellar, Max Gawn, Rohan Bail and James Magner all possible inclusions.
In the upset of the year, development coach Jarred Moore missed out on the Liston Medal this week but was named in the VFL team of the year.
After receiving disappointing news on Thursday that North would not be renewing his contract, Ben Speight will be hoping to impress and gain an opportunity elsewhere.
