How Swallow finished the season
The captain looked on his way to a high-possession game against the Demons, before rupturing his achilles. It was a disappointing way to finish another consistent season.
As always, Swallow was North’s main man in the middle when fit, and continued his good work, extracting the ball with clearances and winning it back with high tackle numbers.
His disposal averages were slightly down on 2012, but he’s sure to poll strongly in the Syd Barker Medal again, despite missing the last five games.
Now, the challenge is to get back as quickly as possible to lead his team once more.
