The North Melbourne Football Club will celebrate 100 years in the VFL/AFL competition in 2025, culminating in a signature home game against Geelong in Round 20.
Celebrations of the club’s centenary year in the competition come six years after the Kangaroos marked 150 years since the club’s foundation in 1869.
In addition to a key home fixture in the second half of the 2025 season, the club has proudly launched a Centenary guernsey in recognition of the jumper worn in the club’s first-ever VFL/AFL game in 1925, a win over Geelong at Corio Oval.
North Melbourne will wear the guernsey in Round 20 at Marvel Stadium.
Created in conjunction with Puma, the guernsey features the royal blue and white vee and collar, a nod to the jumpers of yesteryear.
The royal blue and white vee was featured on the guernsey until the end of the 1932 season, when the club switched to the now famous royal blue and white stripes.
Incorporated into the Centenary guernsey design is a NMFC monogram, which stood as the club’s logo from 1869–1925. The monogram will appear on various club apparel throughout 2025.
Members and supporters can secure their piece of history, with the Centenary guernsey available at the Roo Shop.
