Scott McMahon will be given every opportunity to prove his fitness ahead of the clash against the Dockers, despite injuring his ankle at training on Wednesday.

The reliable defender rolled his right ankle in a collision during North Melbourne’s main skills session, but Director of Medical Services Steve Saunders says the club is hopeful of a speedy recovery.

“We have a few days until we fly out to Perth, which gives us an ability to assess Scott’s ankle and make the call on his availability to play late on Friday,” Saunders told NMFC.com.au.

McMahon has played all but one game this season and is one of the most important members in the Kangaroos' back six.
