Michael Voss told the media this week Brisbane knows exactly what’s coming its way when North Melbourne flies into town for their clash at the Gabba.  With no changes to the Roos’ lineup from the side that demolished Richmond last Saturday, he’s spot on.

Brad Scott and the match committee believe the 22 men that thrashed the Tigers are the right ones to notch up the club’s third consecutive win and keep its finals hopes alive.  If the Kangaroos can match the intensity and aggression they displayed last week, it’s hard to see them being beaten by the Lions.

With VFL affiliate Werribee playing as recently as Tuesday in the Foxtel Cup in Perth, player availability was reduced and Scott McMahon is a notable absentee from the North side.  The defender played limited minutes at Patersons Stadium to keep him fresh, but the form of the Kangaroos’ other defenders and interstate travel have conspired against him.

It means the three emergencies are North Ballarat representatives.  One of them is Luke Delaney who has been rewarded for an outstanding run in the Roosters’ backline.  He’s joined by Ben Jacobs and Taylor Garner.
