Drew Petrie was back to his marking best on Sunday, pulling down nine. But there was one effort that stood out above the rest.

The North Melbourne vice-captain made a habit of being nominated for the Lifebroker Mark of the Year in 2012, but it was his third quarter high fly against the Saints that has seen him recognised for the first time this season.

With Brent Harvey running to the back of the pack, his opponent Jarryn Geary provided the perfect step-ladder for Petrie. Sam Wright’s kick was to the perfect spot, and the number 20 did the rest.
