How Black finished the season
It was somewhat of a breakout year for Black and his good form continued from start to finish. Ending the season with 33 goals from 18 games, the number 35 hit the scoreboard in each of his matches.
Working in partnership with Drew Petrie, the duo, alongside Robbie Tarrant when healthy played a large part in North averaging more than 100 points a game. The Kangaroos were one of only four sides to achieve the feat during the regular season.
Black resisted reported advances from Fremantle following the season and signed a long-term deal to remain at Aegis Park until the end of 2017.
