Aaron Black right at home
Aaron Black might be 3,600km away from his family, but he's never felt more at home at North than right now.
Black, originally from Bunbury, made his loyalty clear after turning his back on a lucrative offer from Fremantle and instead re-signed with the Roos until the end of 2017.
If that wasn’t enough, the 22-year-old has also decided to leave a permanent mark at Arden Street becoming the latest player to purchase a paver in the newly launched ‘Century Walk’.
“I really feel as players, we need to contribute to the club both on and off the field and this is also my way of reaffirming my place at Aegis Park,” Black said.

While he may have his spot secured, he’s not yet decided on the exact message he’ll inscribe on the paver.
“It’s a tough one. Last time, some of the boys just put their name and Shinboner number on there so I might just do that. I’ll have to make a decision soon I suppose.”
Black’s paver will be laid amongst North greats from the Team of the Century, including the likes of Wayne Carey, Wayne Schimmelbusch, Keith Greig and Glenn Archer. All proceeds will be directed to the Football Department.
“This is a great way for North supporters to get on board and help us invest further in footy. With their help we will be able to get ourselves in a really strong position and push for a fifth premiership.”
