Harvey, Stevens, Archer, Longmire, Pickett – these were just a few of the famous names at Arden Street on Wednesday.

But it wasn’t Brent, Anthony, Glenn, John or Byron running rings around the opposition like they did in their heyday; instead, the sons of the Roos’ stars visited the club’s traditional home as part of the Father-Son Academy.

The boys were presented their jumpers, before heading out onto the track to test their skills, the Roos’ current AFL stars training in the background as the Pickett brothers kicked goals from impossible angles and River Stevens loaded up on the left foot.

Byron Pickett, Jason McCartney, Troy Makepeace and Ian Fairley were among those watching on, with the youngsters given a day to remember at North Melbourne.

In all, 18 sons of past Roos' champions joined in, with representatives from the Archer, Crocker, Fairley, Grant, Harvey, Larkin, Longmire, Makepeace, McCartney, Pickett, Rock, Scott and Stevens' families in attendance.
