Nathan Grima will make his return to senior football after recovering from back soreness.  The defender missed two matches, against Geelong and Adelaide, but trained well on Wednesday and proved his fitness.  The 28-year-old last ran out for North against Melbourne in Round 18, collecting 18 disposals and 6 marks.

Brad McKenzie has also been named to play Essendon on Saturday afternoon after just one week back in the VFL.  McKenzie, 20, has been involved in seven matches so far this year but mainly as the substitute player. North's match committee felt it was necessary to give him a full game with North Ballarat last week to ensure he maintained his fitness and gained some 'touch'.  That ploy paid dividends with the left-footer picking up 25 disposals, 9 marks and a goal in the Roosters' win over Collingwood.

Taylor Hine and Taylor Garner have been omitted from the Roos' side which lost to the Crows on Sunday.

Garner has been named as an emergency alongside Levi Greenwood and veteran defender Michael Firrito.

Meanwhile, Essendon has made five changes to its side, naming debutant Lauchlan Dalgleish, as well as Stewart Crameri, Nick O'Brien, Joe Daniher and Leroy Jetta in its 22.

Jason Winderlich and Scott Gumbleton are among the outs, both through injury. David Myers has been rested, while Dustin Fletcher and Patrick Ryder are both missing due to suspension.
