North Melbourne vice-captain Drew Petrie is free to play against the Hawks after his report for charging was dropped.

The AFL’s Match Review Panel ruled Petrie was making a legitimate attempt to mark when he made contact with Brisbane’s Rohan Bewick during Sunday’s match.
