Scott Thompson's excellent job on Jonathan Brown has been reflected in the fantasy world, with the key defender notching his first century of the year.

The 107 points is his highest score since a 139-point effort against Greater Western Sydney in Round 23, 2012.

It was Thompson's marks that propelled him to the triple-figure score against Brisbane. With 10 handballs among his 25 possessions, he took 10 grabs to offset the two-point disposals. His fourth career goal was also a rare boost.

Elsewhere, Sam Gibson led the side with 119 points. To finish last season, the midfielder went on a stretch of five scores over 105 in six games. After an inconsistent start to 2013 in the fantasy stakes, his second century of the year could be a catalyst for a similar run.

The number 43 currently sits fourth among North players, averaging 90.5 points a game.

Jack Ziebell had a big third term while the Kangaroos broke the game open, and he rounded out the three Roos with scores over 100.

In his post-match media conference, Brad Scott spoke about how Ziebell was primed for a return to form. In his first three weeks, he had only scored more than 70 once, with a high of 90.

Ziebell only had one score of more than 100 in 2012, but was one of the few to play well against Hawthorn in the meeting at Launceston. There would be no better time than this week to post a second consecutive century; North has only lost two of the seven games where the vice-captain has scored more than 100 points.

Aaron Mullett continued his price rise, increasing by another $40,400 with a score of 83. To date, the Rising Star nominee has jumped by $100,200 since the start of the season.

With a breakeven of just 27 this week, his 10,251 coaches will be counting the cash for another fortnight at least.

Drew Petrie kicked his first bag of the year; four goals and 18 disposals earning him 96 points. In his sole game at the MCG in 2012 he kicked seven goals for a season high 128-point performance. While Hawthorn is a daunting task, the absence of Ryan Schoenmakers could make Petrie's task a little easier.
