Vince exploring options
AFL.com.au reported on Friday that Adelaide midfielder Bernie Vince had met with Melbourne officials at AAMI Park.

In a statement on afc.com.au on Friday night, the Crows revealed it was not just the Demons making enquiries about the 28-year-old.

"A few clubs have expressed interest in Bernie during the trade period, and Bernie is exploring those options with his management," Adelaide list manager David Noble said.

"We respect Bernie's decision to do so and will maintain open dialogue with he and his management."

The statement said Vince would meet Crows coach Brenton Sanderson over the weekend to discuss his playing future, before leaving on an overseas holiday next week.

Vince is contracted for next season, meaning he would need the club to agree to a trade if he were to leave.

'Chappy' Bombers-bound?
News Limited reports that Carlton has given up hope of landing Paul Chapman, believing the delisted Geelong veteran is destined for Essendon and a reunion with his old coach Mark Thompson.

Chapman, a three-time premiership player, was told by the Cats on October 3 that he would not be offered a contract for 2014.

He has since been the subject of interest from several clubs, but the Bombers now appear in the box seat.

Fairfax Media reports that Essendon met with Chapman early this week, before Thompson was announced as senior coach on Thursday.

The 31-year-old can be signed as a delisted free agent.

Blues zero in on young Lion

News Limited is also reporting that the Blues have won the race for Brisbane Lions young gun Sam Docherty, with a trade a possibility to be completed as early as Monday.

Docherty, the No.12 pick in the 2011 NAB AFL Draft, is one of several Lions wanting out of the club.

He has also been keenly pursued by the Western Bulldogs.

The 19-year-old played 13 senior games in 2013, after being held back by hip and hamstring problems last year.

He requested a trade back to his home state of Victoria at the end of the season.

Saints check out Jolly

Delisted Collingwood ruckman Darren Jolly is firming as the replacement for Ben McEvoy at St Kilda. AFL.com.au first revealed the Saints were keen on the former Demon, Swan and  Magpie on Friday.

News Limited reports that the two-time premiership player underwent a medical with the Saints on Friday.

The Seaford-based club is seeking ruck support for youngster Tom Hickey, after trading McEvoy to Hawthorn on Thursday.

Having been cut by the Magpies, Jolly can be signed as a delisted free agent.
