How Garner finished the season

North’s top pick in the 2012 National Draft, Garner developed well over the course of his first year at Aegis Park.

Playing for North Ballarat in the VFL, he showed a knack of standing up when the pressure was at its fiercest. On multiple occasions he kicked game winning goals for the Roosters.

Garner was rewarded with two senior appearances late in the season; one as a sub against Adelaide before his full debut against Collingwood in Round 23.
