Melbourne is optimistic defender Jayden Hunt will line up against North on Sunday.
Hunt suffered concussion in the Demons’ big win over Adelaide, and will need to prove his availability ahead of the MCG clash.
“Jayden was really lucid straight after the incident, once he got back to the rooms,” Melbourne’s Elite Performance Manager Dave Misson told the club’s website.
“On Saturday night, after the game, back at the hotel, he was really good and he’s been sleeping well and he hasn’t got any symptoms. He had his first run today (Tuesday) and it depends on how he pulls up from that and then we’ll get him to training on Thursday.
“At this stage, he’s ticking most of the boxes, so we’d hope he’d play.”
Hunt has been a valuable contributor this season, averaging 19 disposals a game, while providing both rebound from defence and drive into attack.
Midfielder Angus Brayshaw will be carefully managed, after suffering another concussion in the VFL.
