Ponting's coming to dinner
One of the biggest names in International Cricket over the last two decades, Ricky Ponting, will headline the Inspire Gala Dinner and auction.
Australia’s 42nd test captain will talk about his time in cricket his plans for the future. This is a rare opportunity to hear Australia’s most successful run-maker.
MC for the evening will be author and sports journalist Angela Pippos, an aficionado of Australian football and cricket.
Ponting, founder of the Ponting Foundation, has agreed to back a worthy cause as we continue fundraising efforts for Inspire scholarships and The Huddle.
Tickets to the Gala Dinner at the Sofitel Melbourne are on sale now.
The event will also feature a wide variety of auction items including a Ponting signed bat and table at Channel 9's The Footy Show.
Last year’s dinner featured Jason McCartney and raised $15,000 for the Huddle. The funds allowed two young women to be presented with scholarships.
“We’re very passionate about what the Huddle achieves for the young people in our local community. Supporting the Huddle means more young people will receive the benefits of tutoring, mentoring, technology, sport and positive education to stay engaged with their studies and with the community," Inspire President Peita Elkhorne said.
